Its Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed wrapper cloaks a Nicaraguan binder and aged long-filler leaves from Jalapa (which is one of Nicaragua’s top-tobacco growing regions). The cigars are handmade in Nicaragua. The Oliva Serie V Melanio 2023 Figurinos’ distinctive vitola was created by Frederik Vandermarliere, owner of Oliva’s parent company, Vandermarliere Family of Cigars. In sharp contrast to the other cigars in the Serie V Melanio line, the Figurinos is round instead of box-pressed, which adds to the cigar’s alluring appearance.
