The Las Calaveras Edicion Limitada 2022 represents the newest small-batch installment from Crowned Heads, continuing the brand’s tradition of craftsmanship and tribute. Each release in the series is blended and produced by master cigar-maker José 'Pepín' García at the renowned My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.
The 2022 edition is handcrafted using a robust blend of premium Nicaraguan long-fillers encased in a rich, oily Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 wrapper, presented in a selection of classic vitolas. Notably, this marks the first time the annual Las Calaveras release is composed entirely of Nicaraguan tobaccos.
Expect a layered profile featuring notes of leather, earth, pepper, and wood, building toward a deep medium-to-full-bodied finish that lingers on the palate. The Las Calaveras name draws inspiration from La Calavera Catrina, the iconic zinc etching by José Guadalupe Posada, and the series serves as a heartfelt homage to the dearly departed friends and family of the Crowned Heads team.
