CAO Arcana Mortal Coil pays tribute to old-world cigar craftsmanship by reviving the rare and rustic fermentation method of andullo tobacco. Using a centuries-old technique, rough tobacco leaves are tightly rolled into coils, wrapped in palm pods, and hung to ferment for two full years—producing dense, naturally sweet Dominican tobacco unlike anything else.
These fermented andullo “logs” are blended with a Connecticut Shade binder and select fillers from Honduras (Jamastran Valley), Nicaragua (Estelí), and Dominican Piloto Cubano, then finished with a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The result is a medium-to-full-bodied cigar layered with notes of earth, cocoa, cream, and black pepper. Rich in flavor and impeccably constructed, Mortal Coil delivers a smooth burn, generous smoke, and a true taste of traditional fermentation revived.
