Commemorative Box of 40
My Father & Tatuaje ‘La Union’ Black is a limited-edition project blended to commemorate the twenty-year partnership between Tatuaje brand founder Pete Johnson and the Garcia family, the makers of My Father cigars. Legendary father-and-son cigar-makers Pepin and Jaime Garcia have been producing the Tatuaje brand for Pete Johnson since he launched the company in 2003. Johnson and the Garcias have enjoyed a long and fruitful partnership, and ‘La Union’ Black is a special collaboration between them. Two distinct blends, one by Johnson and one by the Garcias, are handmade in a 7.25-by-50 Double Corona called the Prominente Especial. Johnson’s blend is finished in a Shade Grown Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper with a closed foot while the Garcias’ cigar is blended with an Ecuador Habano wrapper and an open foot. Inside each blend is a bold and complex interior of premium Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos, including the rare Pelo d’Oro varietal.
